Bitching with Dusio
The rantings, ravings and musings of a now mid-forties american male. Sex, violence, rock-n-roll. Also, emotions and all that other mushy crap.

Saturday is for Britney Spears upskirts and Lindsay Lohan naked.

The title is my feeble attempt to get more traffic by using things commonly googled. Lame, I know.
I'm sitting at work, bored to tears. We've expanded our hours and since most people don't know we are open later, we are dead. Plus, it's the day before Easter. It's been slow all day. We did sell one bike. It's actually been pretty busy this week. We've sold over 7 bikes this week alone. Pretty good at $30 grand a pop.
We don't have much planned for tomorrow. The S.O.'s family is coming over and she is making dinner. It should be pretty quiet. When I was growing up Easter was a holiday we spent at my grandparents in Youngstown. Coming from a large Italian family, these Catholic holidays were big. Not that we did a lot religious, but family wise. It would be a day of visits. People would come to my grandparents to visit them. We'd go out and see some family. The vast majority of my family lives in the Youngstown area. I kind of miss those big family visit days. Last Easter the S.O. and I took the kids up and spent Easter with my grandmother. It's been different since my grandfather died two years ago. He came from a family of eight and was one of the oldest still living so a lot of his brothers and sisters would visit, plus their kids and such. Some of them still come over and see my grandmother. Plus, my uncle has 6 kids and they all have kids so they come over. It's a busy day. My grandmother, who turns 90 this year, always makes food for everyone when they visit. She always has cookies, and Italian Easter Bread, and all kinds of other stuff. She still does it to this day. She complains that she is falling apart and everything, but she is still as feisty as ever.
The S.O. has a smaller family. All of her grandparents have passed away. She has a sister and a brother. Neither are married. That's about the extent of it. She has some aunts and uncles but never sees any of them.
You are all thrilled with the details of my family, aren't you? No, but family is important to me. Growing up in a big family, holidays don't seem as big when there isn't a lot of people around. On Christmas my grandmother would cook dinner for 14 or more on Christmas Eve. I'd still love to have a big family dinner like that. It's always been a dream of mine to have a big house where all my family could come to stay on the holidays and have dinner with them. I'm not so sure the S.O. would like all the cooking, though.
Well, here's hoping you enjoy tomorrow, whether it's a holiday for you or not.
Peace.
